Digital logistics platforms Qwyk and Chain.io team up

Digital freight portal Qwyk has signed an agreement with logistic integration service Chain.io to help forwarders connect systems.

The main benefit of the Chain.io platform is that it offers direct access to major transport management systems (TMS) – and now also to and from Qwyk – meaning logistics companies using major TMS packages will no longer need to build their own API or EDI connections, they can simply add Qwyk to their providers list.

The new deal, launching on November 1, will improve users ability to exchange data and allow for the integration of the two platforms and all trading partners connected by Chain.io, whenever required by a customer.

Chain.io will work with Qwyk to integrate booking and submissions to a TMS, air and ocean schedules feeds to TMS, ocean rate feeds from third-party rating engines to Qwyk and quote feeds from Qwyk to a TMS system.
